Johan Rockström

Johan Rockström is a leading scientist on global sustainability with a focus on water resources and access. Rockström is a member of the United Nations Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN), Director of the Stockholm Resilience Centre (SRC) and a Professor in Environmental Science with emphasis on water resources and global sustainability at Stockholm University.

Rockström has served as advisor to several international organizations, governments and the European Union. Rockström led the recent development of the new “Planetary Boundaries” framework for human development in the current era of rapid global change.
