Kees Klein Goldewijk

Kees Klein Goldewijk is Research Fellow at the Copernicus Institute of Sustainable Development at Universiteit Utrecht. With extensive expertise in environmental research and integrated global environment assessments, Kees develops his research at the interface between history, archaeology and palaeoecology. Kees has developed, among others, the History Database of the Global Environment (HYDE), one of the most widely used models of human land-use over the Holocene and anthropocene periods.
