Les Limites à la croissance (dans un monde fini)
In 1972, four young scientists from MIT wrote a report called The Limits to Growth at the request of the Club of Rome.
This report shocked the world and eventually became an international bestseller.
These four young scientists' research revealed for the first time the dramatic ecological consequences of exponential economic and demographic growth in a finite world.
While in 1972, the central issue of the book was "how to avoid overtaking"; in 2004, in it's expanded and enriched edition, the book focused more on the following challenge:
"how to proceed so that our activities slow down and can keep within the limits of the planet".
