The EU Climate Law: Holding the EU Accountable for Delivering on the Paris Agreement

This online conference, organized by European Climate Foundation (ECF) and Ecologic Institute, was an opportunity for experts from civil society and academia as well as EU policy-makers to exchange views on the European Commission’s proposal for an EU Climate Law. The event took place on 19 March 2020. Among the featured speakers were Erica Hope, director of Climate Planning and Laws at ECF; Sharon Turner, independent consultant and visiting professor at Sussex University; Matthias Duwe, head of climate at Ecologic Institute.

The European Climate Foundation is dedicated to responding to the global climate crisis by creating a net-zero greenhouse gas emissions society.

Ecologic Institute is an independent, academic think tank for environmental research and policy analysis. Since its founding in 1995, Ecologic Institute has been dedicated to improving environmental policy, sustainable development and policy practice.
