Blue: A documentary
The documentary titled 'Blue,' explores the issues of declining marine life impacted by anthropogenic activities such as plastic pollution and overfishing. Directed by Karina Holden, the documentary features those who are defending habitats, campaigning for smarter fishing, combating marine pollution and fighting for the protection of keystone species.
'Blue' is a film two years in the making. The opportunity to take part in Goodpitch Australia allowed the team to start working on a narrative in June 2015. The film has been screened at several international film festivals including Planet On Film Festival in 2019. Besides this, it has won many international awards such as the 'best impact film,' in 2017 at the Vancouver International Film Festival. Blue has been produced with the support of Good Pitch² Australia, Shark Island Institute, Documentary Australia Foundation and Screen Australia.
