The EU Climate Law: Holding the EU accountable for delivering on the Paris Agreement

This online conference, organized by European Climate Foundation (ECF) and Ecologic Institute, was an opportunity for experts from civil society and academia as well as EU policy-makers to exchange views on the European Commission’s proposal for an EU Climate Law. The event took place on 19 March 2020 and featured the following speakers:

  2. Sharon Turner, Independent consultant and Visiting Professor at Sussex University 
  3. Matthias Duwe, Head of Climate at Ecologic Institute 
  4. Dr. Nils Meyer-Ohlendorf, Head of International and European Governance at Ecologic Institute 
  5. Stefanie Hiesinger, Member of the Cabinet of Executive Vice-President for the European Green Deal
  6. Frans Timmermans at the European Commission Michael Bloss, Member of the European Parliament
  7. Shadow rapporteur on the EU Climate Law, Group of the Greens/European Free Alliance 
  8. Alex Mason, Senior Policy Officer, Climate and Energy Policy at WWF European Policy Office 
  9. Elisa Giannelli, Researcher at E3G
The European Climate Foundation is dedicated to responding to the global climate crisis by creating a net-zero greenhouse gas emissions society. Ecologic Institute is an independent, academic think tank for environmental research and policy analysis.
