Extinguishing the Fire Crisis by Mark Adam
In this talk ecologist Prof. Mark Adams advocates for a rethink of our relationship with fire. On 15 June at the Frontiers Forum, Prof. Adams outlined the latest science on wildfires – and provided a vision for how we can move from the current focus on fire suppression, to science-based solutions adapted to local ecosystems, cultures, and communities.
Mark Adams is Professor of Bioscience and Innovation at Swinburne University of Technology, Australia, where his research focus is the biology and ecology of Australia’s forests, woodlands, and rangelands.
